Sunday School for children from 3 years old through 5th Grade begins at 10:15 am and closes in the choir room at 11:00 am for parental pick-up. We use a rotation model where the children move Sunday to Sunday to various workshops that offer a fresh way of teaching the Bible stories. Workshops include:
- Use of computers in our Cyber Bible room
- Creative arts in our How Great Thou Art room
- Movies in our Celestial Cinema room
- Bible Study in our Synagogue
- Drama and Puppetry in our Parable Productions room
Other areas such as science, cooking and music may also be included. Signs are posted each morning indicating where the classes are meeting.
Preschool (3-4 year olds): This young group meets in the New Creations classroom for age appropriate lessons of God’s love and kindness.
Grades 6-12: They meet in the basement of the Mission House. Middle School gathers in the kitchen half, while High School meets in the other half of the room. Sunday School for these youth focus on how the Bible relates to real life situations.
For infants and toddlers we have a nursery located just off the sanctuary. All of our adult volunteers go through a background check and training. There are pagers available for parents in case of any problems. We are always looking for help in the nursery so if you are interested in helping or want to find out more on this ministry please contact Pastor Beth.
